Every part of the game seems to have gotten polishing before it was released, and for the Wii console, that's really something to treasure. I have to say, it's the same thing for the audio as well. Everything, along with Mario's single word answers, just fit together into a jigsaw puzzle that just ... Continue Reading ►
Reviews have been coming through slowly as of late, and I'd like to explain why - I've been working on the PHP backbone of the reviews and games section, as it currently takes it over an hour to put a review up, what with all the stars and imagery and setting up video pages. NO MORE in a week or so. Also, I've been discussing with Emily some new site features, including an integration of her fanart with the reviews and the site design as a whole. It's exciting stuff, but none of it will physically manifest until it goes live. So, stick with us, we're not going anywhere, we're just like, power-levelling the site right now. Will be done soon as site has epic mount, yes!
I am also blogging at Infendo these days. They're a bunch of classy cats who aren't afraid to insult the people on whom they're reporting, so they're definitely my kind of people. Permalinks to the stories I've posted thus far:
Their trademark is the "Infendo Radio" podcasts. You go listen to that while I build the site, ok?

ErickandEmily.com is live!
After weeks of double, double, toil, and trouble, we're making both mushroom stew and delicious Nintendo Wii game reviews. For those of you not in the know, the purpose of Erick 'n Emily is to give non-gamers an idea of what Wii games they'd like, and to provide them with pictures and videos of the games in action before they make a decision that could possibly change the rest of their life.
For everyone else, we're full of three things: 1. Gift / "Quality Time" ideas, 2. Sarcasm, 3. Something you can't say on local television.
We're not nearly so lame as to put a "Testimonials" page on the site as we're hocking neither diet pills nor life-extending magic rings, but it turns out I'm lame enough to put such feedback in a blog post:
"Thanks to Emily's review of Rayman, my girlfriend has gone out and purchased her first game ever. Thank you, Erick, for allowing this to happen. She will be playing Quake in no time." - Zhukov (I-Mockery)
"She's loving Elebits, thanks Erick and Emily! She doesn't like Legend of Zelda though. She thinks it's too easy." - xbxMCj (I-Mockery)
About the whole 'playing Quake' thing, that was one of my hopes when we got a Wii, too, but most girls have a sort of natural aversion to games that breach a certain threshold of testosterone; It's some sort of female defense mechanism. Check out the disparity in Emily's reviews for Call of Duty 3 and Elebits to see this strange but beautiful phenomenon in action.
